Bollywood genius Akshay Kumar will not have the option to go to Cannes Film Festival 2022 as he tried positive for Covid-19 on Saturday.
Taking to Twitter, Akshay stated, “Was truly anticipating pulling for our film at the India Pavilion at #Cannes2022, yet have tragically tried positive for Covid.”
Akshay should walk honorary pathway on the first day of the season of the 75th Cannes Film Festival as a feature of the Indian contingent alongside music maestro A R Rahman, producer Shekhar Kapur and entertainer Pooja Hegde.
Communicating his failure on not having the option to go to the celebration, Akshay further expressed, “Will rest it out. Heaps of all the best to you and your whole group. Will truly miss being there.”
This is the second time in more than a year that Akshay Kumar has been determined to have the infection. Prior in April 2021, he shared that he tried positive for the infection.
