Biden tests positive for Covid

US President Joe Biden tried positive for Covid-19 on Thursday and is encountering “extremely gentle side effects,” the White House said.

Biden, 79, will continue doing the obligations of the workplace and has started taking a course of the antiviral treatment Paxlovid, as indicated by his press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

“He is completely immunized and two times supported and encountering extremely gentle side effects,” she said in an explanation.

“Reliable with CDC rules, he will detach at the White House and will keep on doing each of his obligations completely during that time,” she expressed, alluding to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Jean-Pierre said Biden had been talking with his staff by telephone and will keep on partaking in gatherings by telephone and Zoom from the home while he recuperates. He will continue face to face work once he tests negative, she said.

The White House will give an everyday update on the president’s wellbeing meanwhile, Jean-Pierre said.
