Death and Deceit: A case of Death

Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the search for his daughter’s fiance after she went missing on Sunday. Gabby Petito was last seen with her fiance, Antony Falzone, and he is still considered a person of interest in her disappearance. Falzone has been charged with several crimes including assault and battery on an ex-girlfriend but police have yet to charge him in connection with Petito’s disappearance.

Petito was in the midst of a heated argument with Falzone on Sunday when she got out of his car early Sunday morning. Police are still investigating whether or not Petito may have simply walked home since she left her phone in the vehicle and did not have her purse when she called for a ride. Petito’s mother believes that Falzone may have hurt her daughter, who has since stopped answering either texts or phone calls.

Petito’s mother told authorities that Falzone was responsible for ending her relationship with Petito back in January after he threatened to kill himself if she did not end their four-year relationship. Petito had only been dating Falzone for about a month at the time, and Petito’s mother said that Falzone often talked about killing people and committing suicide. To make matters worse, Falzone has a criminal record that includes charges of assault and battery on an ex-girlfriend as well as threats to kill her.

After spending some time with the couple at their home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, the ex-girlfriend took a ride from Falzone to go buy some food. An argument ensued and Falzone reportedly drove off with her still in the car. He then accused her of trying to kill him and pointed a gun at her head before driving back home.

Falzone was later arrested for assault and battery against his ex-girlfriend and served a three-month sentence. The ex-girlfriend said that Falzone had been going through a lot of stress at work and was taking medication but did not know what kind. Police are investigating reports that he may have bought some psychiatric medications in the days leading up to Petito’s disappearance.

Yesterday, Dog posted an Instagram stating, “On the hunt for Petito. Every resource is being exhausted to find her. Please keep your prayers coming.” Dog has recently been in Massachusetts working with investigators, talking to witnesses and finding out more about Falzone’s criminal history.

Currently, Falzone is the only person that police consider to be a suspect but many fear that he may have hurt Petito or even killed her before fleeing Massachusetts. It is unclear what happened between the two after they left North Attleboro but Dog seems to believe that Falzone was involved in some way.

Falzone’s former roommate said, “Our relationship wasn’t great because he started becoming very controlling of me and nonstop phone calls during the day and night. He just became very possessive.” Additionally, Falzone was recently fired from his job as a Massachusetts police officer for behavior issues including being rude to patients and fellow officers.
