Ellen White experienced penetrated lung during needle therapy

Britain’s record goalscorer Ellen White has uncovered she experienced penetrated lung last year while getting needle therapy treatment, which sped up her choice to resign.

White, 33, said she was all the while dealing with the “awful” injury.

Manchester City had obtained expert external the club to give her needle therapy to treat her back issue in view of countless wounds in the crew at that point.

She reported her retirement this week.

White assisted England with winning Euro 2022 in July and told BBC Sport she knew going into the competition that she planned to resign from football a while later.
