The 2-year-old little guy, Zena, was left toward the rear of the vehicle for over four hours in July while her overseer, Officer Viera Gonzalez, was taking an instructional course at the Criminal Justice Center at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, the Cocoa Police Department said at that point.
Temperatures arrived at 90 degrees that day and a specialist said Zena likely kicked the bucket from heat stroke.
Melbourne police suggested a creature savagery charge, yet the Brevard County State Attorney’s Office has declined to squeeze charges.
“Police K-9s serve an imperative job in safeguarding the residents of their local area, alongside their policing. We realize that each work is made by their organizations and overseers to guarantee their prosperity in what is frequently a hazardous, and troublesome task,” the express lawyer’s office said in a proclamation to Click Orlando.

Gonzalez has been removed the Cocoa Police Department’s K-9 unit.
