Guterres said that addressing common challenges requires continued solidarity.
Many world heads of state and government will address the United Nations General Assembly next week. However, it is expected that many world leaders will be present at the funeral of the recently deceased Queen Elizabeth II of Britain next Monday. In such a situation, there is uncertainty about the schedule of the United Nations General Session next week. However, no changes have been made in this schedule so far.
Guterres’ spokesman said the UN chief would not travel to London to attend the queen’s funeral.
The pre-scheduled UN education conference will also continue as usual on Monday. Earlier it was confirmed by 90 leaders to attend the conference.
