Kids and mentors ran off the field and dodged for cover at a young ball game Monday as gunfire emitted close by at a South Carolina park, stunning video shows.
Witnesses let police know that “many shots” were discharged after a squabble in a parking area at Pepperhill Park in North Charleston.
The North Charleston Police Department said no wounds were accounted for.
“A few youth ball games were in progress when this occurrence happened,” police said in a proclamation acquired by the Daily News. “This episode this evening had nothing to do with the Park, youth competitors, guardians or mentors.”
Film of the berserk scene at one of the ball games was caught on camera by Blake Ferguson, whose child was playing in the game. The recording was shared by neighborhood news stations WCSC and WCIV.
Authorities answered the scene in no time before 8:45 p.m.
An examination is currently open, with police saying they desire to “find and capture” individuals liable for the episode.

“City chairman R. Keith Summey has watched a resident’s video of the kids on the field during this occurrence, and he is horrified by what he heard and saw,” police said in their articulation.
“Aide Chief Greg Gomes is stunned by the video and appalled at the occasions that occurred in our city this evening,” the assertion proceeded. “He passionately impugns this viciousness and is shocked at those answerable for seriously jeopardizing such countless honest lives.”
