Missing Georgia child saw as alive, father captured for hijacking, killing mother

A Georgia man has been captured for the grabbing of his 1-year-old girl and the homicide of the child’s mom, police declared Sunday.

A statewide Amber Alert went out for Nyla Norwood around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after her mom, 31-year-old Crystal Hyatt, was observed dead inside her home by police answering an “obscure issue,” as indicated by the Monroe Police Department.

Police distinguished Nyla’s dad, 27-year-old Gregory Deonte Norwood, as the suspect and followed him to a location in Newton County where he was captured “without occurrence.”
Nyla was tracked down protected with her grandma in Gwinnett County, as per police. Authorities didn’t distinguish whether that was Nyla’s maternal or fatherly family member.

Norwood has been accused of homicide and grabbing, with more charges conceivable.

No rationale has been openly declared and it indistinct Norwood’s relationship was to Hyatt past Nyla.
