Rahul Gandhi visits Punjabi artist Moosewala’s home to communicate sympathies to his loved ones

Congress pioneer Rahul Gandhi visited the home of killed Punjabi vocalist Sidhu Moosewala in Mansa region on June 7 to communicate sympathies to his loved ones. Mr. Gandhi, who arrived at the Chandigarh air terminal today, drove directly to the vocalist’s local town Moosa in Mansa.
A few Congress pioneers including Punjab Congress boss Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa, previous Deputy Chief Minister O. P. Soni and other party pioneers went with him.
Security has been fixed external the home of Moosewala right after Mr. Gandhi’s visit. Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified aggressors in Mansa on May 29. Mr. Gandhi was abroad while the killing occurred and returned throughout the end of the week.

Moosewala, who had joined the Congress December last year had fruitlessly challenged from the Mansa seat in the 2022 Punjab Assembly decisions.
On Saturday, the guardians of Moosewala had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Prior, Punjab Chief Minister Bhgawant Mann had likewise communicated distress with the family. Senior Congress pioneer Partap Singh Bajwa had kept in touch with CM Mann, asking him to “move the homicide case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or the National Investigation Agency (NIA) so equity can be conveyed to the family at the earliest”.
